The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) is recruiting for the following positions:

Procurement Intern

Contract Type: Contract

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND, Diploma

Field: Internships, Purchasing / Inventory Management / Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of purchase orders and placement of orders for goods and services to ensure suppliers deliver within agreed timelines. Booking flights for staff and other authorized persons, and booking hotels for conference facilities and staff accommodation. Receiving, inspecting, and distributing goods to users according to their requests, and following up to ensure their delivery. Receiving invoices, attaching necessary documents, and forwarding them to the finance department for processing. Booking and coordinating the provision of meals and venues for various meetings at the headquarters. Coordinating with courier services to ensure timely dispatch of parcels to branches.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act. Computer proficiency. Inventory management.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Diploma in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field. Professional certifications will be an asset. Six (6) months of experience or Diploma with at least 1 year of practical experience.

Chief Librarian

Contract Type: Full-time

Qualification: MBA/MSc/MA

Experience: 6 years

Location: Nairobi

Field: ICT / Information Technology

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the acquisition of information resources from local and foreign suppliers (print and non-print). Coordinate the overall provision of library and information services across KIM's library network. Formulate and develop library policies, procedure manuals, and documents such as strategic plans and annual budgets. Facilitate the full automation of library functions and collaborate with the ICT team to manage integrated library systems and related technologies. Develop appropriate training programs for staff on the use of automated library systems and new technologies. Prepare and administer the annual library budget within approved limits. Develop strategies for the growth of information resources such as electronic resources. Collaborate with donors and initiate collaborations and links with strategic development partners. Coordinate the processing of information materials and their dispatch to branch libraries. Develop programs to enhance information literacy skills on the use of library services. Evaluate library collections against collection development and reading policies.
