The Physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs to restore physical function, mobility, and overall well-being of patients. The role involves working with individuals recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic conditions, and providing preventive care to promote healthy movement. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and skilled in therapeutic techniques, with strong communication abilities to support patient recovery and education.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to patients.
- Support recovery and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Promote preventive care and patient education on physical health.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Enhance patient mobility, independence, and quality of life.Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Diagnosis
Conduct physical examinations and functional assessments.
Diagnose movement dysfunctions and recommend treatment plans.
Document patient history and progress accurately.Treatment & Rehabilitation
Develop individualized therapy programs.
Administer manual therapy, exercise regimens, and electrotherapy.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.Patient Education & Preventive Care
Educate patients on posture, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
Provide guidance on home exercise programs.
Support lifestyle modifications to improve long-term health outcomes.Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews.
Maintain clear communication with patients and caregivers.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
Prepare progress reports and discharge summaries.
Ensure compliance with clinical and ethical standards.**

Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
Valid registration with relevant professional body (e.g., Physiotherapy Council).
Minimum 2–3 years’ clinical experience in physiotherapy practice.
Experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred.COMPETENCIES
