The Procurement Officer at FAO will oversee procurement activities for goods, works, and services in Nigeria and Niger, ensuring compliance with FAO policies and best practices. This role involves planning, developing, and supporting procurement processes, advising requisitioning units, and conducting market research. The officer will also prepare tender documents, manage contract negotiations, and ensure quality assurance for Letters of Agreement. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and participation in procurement committees to promote ethical standards and efficiency. Advanced university degree in relevant field or first-level degree with additional experience Five years of relevant experience in procurement or seven years with first-level degree Completion of professional qualification from recognized body Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO language Experience in public sector procurement and complex contractual issues Ability to draft complex documents in English and French
