Read more about this company Software Developer Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience 4 years Location Lagos Job Field ICT / Computer   Job role Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using Laravel PHP and Node.js with NestJS, ensuring application performance and security. Build efficient database schemas, optimize queries, and maintain databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Create responsive, interactive, and high-performance user interfaces with React and Next.js, implementing modern frontend architectures with effective state management. Develop reusable frontend components, maintain design systems, and ensure crossbrowser compatibility and performance optimization. Integrate frontend applications seamlessly with backend services, implementing server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) where appropriate. Collaborate on end-to-end feature development, participate in architectural decisions, and contribute to technical planning for scalable applications. Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack, and maintain high code quality through code reviews. Work closely with DevOps teams to manage deployments, infrastructure, and ensure smooth operation of applications in cloud environments. Qualifications BSc/HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of professional software development experience. Strong expertise in backend development using Laravel PHP and Node.js with the NestJS framework. Advanced frontend development skills with React and Next.js, including responsive design and state management. Proficiency in TypeScript for building type-safe and maintainable code across the stack. Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, with familiarity in GraphQL and WebSocket integrations. Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and strong understanding of software testing principles and frameworks. Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills with the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a creative, self-motivated mindset eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
