Read more about this company Project Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Project Management   Role Overview The Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives within the Banking PMO to ensure projects align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and financial targets. This role requires a balance of rigorous methodology and the agility to navigate a complex financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Project Governance: Execute projects using the bank's defined framework (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and ensure all documentation meets audit and compliance standards. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for department heads, IT leads, and risk officers to manage expectations and report progress. Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track actual spending against forecasts, and manage vendor contracts or procurement processes. Risk & Compliance: Identify potential roadblocks including security vulnerabilities or regulatory shifts and develop mitigation strategies to protect the bank's assets. Resource Coordination: Collaborate with functional managers to secure team members and manage cross-departmental dependencies. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science. Experience: 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within a retail or investment banking PMO. Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM/SAFe) certification is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Clarity PPM, along with a strong understanding of core banking systems or digital transformation. Preferred Competencies: Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data. Excellent communication skills for presenting to executive steering committees. Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure system deployments or "go-live" phases.
