Ecobank recrute is hiring a Sales & Distribution Dead Job level: 8 | Job grade: 4B Job purpose: The Sales & Distribution Head is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and performance of all sales and alternative distribution channels, both physical and digital. The role ensures end-to-end supervision of Direct Sales, MFI & third-party distribution, digital sales & services, and virtual relationship management models.

The position drives sustainable business growth, market penetration, and economic profit while ensuring strong customer experience, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and robust governance across all distribution channels. Key responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Business Growth:
- Formulate and execute an integrated sales and distribution strategy covering Direct Sales, MFIs & third-party partners, Digital Sales, and Virtual Relationship models;
- Deliver agreed financial targets for priority products and channels;
- Drive customer acquisition, portfolio growth, and competitor take-ons across consumer and commercial segments;
- Identify new distribution opportunities, partnership models, and digital-led sales initiatives;
- Ensure alignment of channel strategies with Bank priorities, segment needs, and geographic focus;
- Increase the active rate of our various distribution channels and accountable of channels profitability and efficiency;
- Monitor and analyze channel performance KPIs including volume, value, profitability, quality, and customer experience;
- Manage and optimize sales and distribution budgets;
Localisation
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to maximize ROI and productivity. Direct Sales & DSA Channel Oversight:
- Oversee Direct Sales Agents (DSA) and field sales models including recruitment, training, certification, and productivity;
- Implement and embed the E.X.C.E.L Performance Framework across the Direct Sales Channel;
- Monitor DSA quality, attrition, compliance, and readiness for audits and annual certification. MFI & Third-Party Distribution Management:
- Oversee partnerships with MFIs, bancassurance, remittances, and other third-party distribution channels;
- Ensure partner performance, portfolio quality, compliance with SLAs, and regulatory standards;
- Drive performance optimization, portfolio growth, and risk mitigation across MFI and alliance channels. Digital Sales & Services:
- Provide strategic guidance to Digital Sales & Services to accelerate digital acquisition, usage, and engagement;
- Ensure effective coordination between digital sales officers, product teams, and operations;
- Monitor digital sales pipelines, conversion rates, service quality, and customer journeys. Virtual Relationship Management:
- Oversee Virtual Relationship Managers and remote sales/service models;
- Ensure consistent customer engagement, cross-sell, up-sell, and retention through virtual channels;
- Monitor service quality, responsiveness, productivity, and customer satisfaction metrics. Multi-Channel Leadership & People Management:
- Provide direct leadership and oversight to: Head MFI & Third-Party Distribution, Digital Sales & Services Manager, Supervisor, Virtual Relationship Managers, DSA Manager;
- Set clear objectives, KPIs, and SCORECARD targets for all channel heads;
- Build high-performing management and sales teams through coaching, talent development, capacity planning, and succession management;
- Drive strong performance culture and accountability across all sales and service channels. Distribution, Customer Experience & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure end-to-end sales process quality and consistent customer experience across all channels;
- Personally perform quality callbacks on a sample of customer applications;
- Oversee commission models, incentives, and timely payouts across all distribution channels;
- Ensure effective resolution of customer complaints and SLA adherence. Risk, Governance & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to Group policies, Code of Conduct, AML/KYC, and fraud prevention requirements across all channels;
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate operational, compliance, and reputational risks;
- Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance for all distribution models;
- Develop and manage a consolidated Sales & Distribution MIS;
- Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews with corrective action plans. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, HR, Risk, IT, Operations, and Finance teams;
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Represent and promote the Bank's brand across all sales and distribution ecosystems. Reporting: Head, Commercial & Consumer Banking (CCB) Cameroon & CEMAC Cluster. Job profile: Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or any other related field;
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage;
- Digital financial Sales certification or any other pertinent certification in sales. Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in sales & distribution role, with at least 5 years in a similar position;
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles within banking, financial services or TELCOs;
- Strong exposure to direct sales, alternative distribution, digital sales, and partnership models;
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior managers and large, multi-channel sales teams.
Strong leadership, people management, and influencing skills;
