Job Vacancy For Director, Corporate Communications & Partnerships

The Role

  • Reporting to the highest level of management, the Director will provide strategic leadership for the institution's communications, branding, stakeholder engagement and partnership development.

  • The role will be pivotal in positioning the institution as a centre of excellence, strengthening its public image and forging strategic collaborations with key stakeholders locally and internationally

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement on comprehensive corporate communications and branding strategy

  • Lead media relations, public affairs and institutional messaging

  • Oversee digital communications, publications and content development

  • Design and execute stakeholder engagement and partnership frameworks

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with academic, legal, corporate and development institutions - locally and internationally

  • Advise management on communications, public affairs and reputational risk matters.

  • Lead crisis communications planning and response

  • Oversee and develop the corporate communications & partnerships unit

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years of progressive experience, including substantial senior leadership exposure

  • Demonstrated track record in managing corporate communications for a reputable institution

  • Professional certification in communications, public relations or marketing is an added advantage

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Expertise in stakeholder engagement and relationship management

  • Strong media and public relations acumen

  • Proficiency in digital communications and content strategy
