Expert Application Advice
What this role involves
You will lead Zipline’s communication strategy across African markets, shaping narratives around drone-delivery logistics, public health impact, and regulatory progress. Day-to-day, you’ll coordinate with country teams in Ghana, Rwanda, and Nigeria, manage crisis comms, and pitch stories to regional and global media. Expect to travel frequently between hubs.
Key skills to highlight
- Proven experience in strategic communications, media relations, or public affairs within Africa’s tech, health, or logistics sectors.
- Fluency in English and a second African language (e.g., Swahili, French, Twi) is a strong plus.
- Crisis management and stakeholder mapping in multi-country contexts.
- Familiarity with drone/aviation regulations or health supply chains sets you apart.
Taf4All CV tip
List a concrete example of a comms campaign you led across at least two African countries. Show metrics—e.g., “Increased media coverage by 40% in Nigeria and Kenya through targeted press briefings on health logistics.” Avoid generic “communications manager” titles; use “Pan-African Campaign Lead” if accurate.
Before you apply
Zipline is a verified global company; check that the recruiter’s email ends with @zipline.com. Never pay for application processing or a job offer. If asked for passport copies or bank details early, report to Taf4All.

- •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
- •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
- •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
- •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
- •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
- •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
