Job summary
We are seeking a proactive, results-oriented, and dynamic Sales Representative-FMCG for one of our clients to strengthen their commercial footprint across the Littoral, Centre, and North-West regions of Cameroon. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the company's regional growth by managing rigorous follow-ups, driving active prospecting, and cultivating excellent customer relationships to meet sales objectives, broaden the client base, and ensure deep market penetration.
Key responsibilities:
The Sales Representative will be tasked with the following:
Business Development
• Meet and surpass assigned sales goals within the designated territory.
• Cultivate new markets and broaden commercial coverage.
• Detect, prospect, and convert potential clients, including wholesalers, retailers, distributors, and convenience stores.
• Guarantee optimal product rotation, availability, and visibility at all retail outlets.
Customer Management and Loyalty
• Sustain robust, long-term partnerships with current clients.
• Perform consistent follow-ups and implement initiatives to enhance customer retention.
• Resolve customer requirements, grievances, and feedback with speed and professionalism.
Market Analysis and Reporting
• Gather essential data regarding competitors, market trends, pricing, and expansion possibilities.
• Provide management with periodic sales and market reports to influence commercial strategies.
• Evaluate sales results by customer category, product, and area to support strategic decisions.
Sales Administration
• Execute frequent inventory checks and generate precise stock reports for points of sale.
• Oversee client accounts, ensure payment reconciliation, and keep records current.
• Carry out additional commercial duties as needed to facilitate sales activities.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of an HND degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of verified professional sales experience.
• Previous experience working with a prominent FMCG company in Cameroon is highly beneficial.
• Solid understanding of distribution channels and market dynamics in the North-West is preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a customer-centric approach.
• Strong collaborative mindset and team spirit.
• Capacity to evaluate and comprehend regional market trends.
• Highly autonomous, target-focused, and proactive.
• Rigorous, organized, and capable of delivering results under pressure.
