About Green for Change Ghana (GCG)
Green for Change Ghana (GCG), in partnership with Erda Illumine Low Carbon Solutions (EILCS) and the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA), is implementing an Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) Carbon Project to promote climate-smart rice farming and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Position Summary The Regional Project Coordinator will oversee project implementation within an assigned region, working closely with farmers, community stakeholders, and project partners to ensure successful adoption of AWD and other climate-smart agricultural practices. Key Responsibilities Coordinate project activities and field operations. Mobilize and train farmers and Water User Associations (WUAs). Monitor project performance and collect field data. Support carbon accounting and digital MRV systems. Engage stakeholders and maintain strong partnerships. Prepare project reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with project standards and requirements. Supervise field staff and community facilitators. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Rural Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
Strong project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills. Experience in climate-smart agriculture, irrigation, or community development projects is an advantage. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
