This is a unique opportunity to combine local legal advisory in Cameroon with regional corporate governance responsibilities, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.

Your role

As Corporate Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business while ensuring strong governance standards across multiple jurisdictions.

You will:

Provide legal support on commercial, regulatory, and operational matters in Cameroon Lead and oversee corporate governance activities across SSA (40+ entities) Draft and review contracts, board/shareholder resolutions, and governance documents Ensure compliance with local laws, OHADA regulations, and DHL Group policies Coordinate board and shareholder meetings and maintain statutory records Partner with Finance and Treasury on capital increases, equity measures, and corporate transactions Support litigation matters and manage external counsel Drive governance reporting, dashboards, and legal training initiatives across the region

What You Bring

Minimum 5 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house) Strong expertise in corporate law and OHADA framework (droit des sociétés) Proven experience in corporate governance / company secretarial work Solid understanding of multi-jurisdictional legal environments, ideally within Africa Fluency in English and French (written & spoken) Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
