Expert Application Advice

Technical proficiency — IRC - International Rescue Committee expects hands-on mastery of AutoCAD. Don't just list them: describe a concrete project where you used them and the outcome delivered.

International NGO — NGO recruiters read your cover letter to assess your understanding of the humanitarian mission, not just technical skills. Show you know the country field context and the specific challenges of this sector.

Field portfolio — List water points built/rehabilitated, hygiene training sessions conducted, monitoring tools used (KOBO, ODK). A one-page last WASH project summary consistently makes the difference.
