The IYCF Counselor at Mercy Corps is responsible for providing high-quality technical support in promoting Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN). This role involves counseling on optimal feeding practices and establishing supportive spaces for IYCF. The counselor will collaborate with local authorities and partners, oversee IYCF counseling, and ensure the provision of health and nutrition education to caregivers. Additionally, the position requires organizing training and capacity-building activities for community health workers and maintaining relationships with local health authorities. Diploma/Degree in nursing, midwifery, public health, or nutrition Minimum of two years' experience in an NGO environment Experience in IYCF counseling Familiarity with intervention areas Microsoft Office skills Fluency in English and Hausa; Kanuri is a plus
