## 🛠️ Compétences requises
The WASH Officer – Public Health Promotion will lead emergency WASH programming focused on hygiene promotion and community engagement in Yobe State, Nigeria. This role involves supervising assistants, coordinating with teams, and monitoring public health risks while ensuring community-driven and gender-sensitive activities. The officer will implement hygiene interventions, conduct assessments, and promote community participation in WASH initiatives. The position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to accountability to affected populations. BSc or HND in Public Health or related field 4 years of experience in WASH projects Experience in WASH emergency programming Knowledge of behavior change and community engagement Familiarity with Sphere and WASH Cluster standards Strong understanding of gender and inclusion in humanitarian work Strong written and spoken English; Hausa/local language skills are a plus Ability to travel frequently to remote areas
