Job Description

Job Ad & Profile Description Position : Records Manager - Accra We are looking for a Records Manager. The Records Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s records management policies and systems to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient handling of information. This role ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements while maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of records. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement records management policies, procedures, and retention schedules Oversee the creation, classification, storage, retrieval, and disposal of records Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and data protection requirements Manage both physical and electronic records systems Lead digitization initiatives to improve records accessibility and efficiency Conduct regular audits to ensure proper records management practices Ensure data security, confidentiality, and integrity of organizational records Provide guidance and training to staff on records management best practices Coordinate with departments to ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping Manage disaster recovery and backup systems for critical records Supervise and lead records management staff Required profile for job ad : Records Manager - Accra Qualifications Master’s degree in Records Management, Information Management, Library Science, Business Administration, or related field Professional certification (e.g., CRM – Certified Records Manager) is an added advantage Experience Minimum of 7–12 years of experience in records or information management Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role Experience with electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of records management principles and standards Excellent organizational and document control skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong leadership and team management abilities Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations Proficiency in records management software and databases Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and training skills Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Compliance with records management policies and regulations Accuracy and accessibility of records Reduction in records retrieval time Successful implementation of digitization initiatives Audit results and compliance ratings Job criteria for job ad : Records Manager - Accra Job category : Accounting, controlling, finance - IT, new technologies - Marketing, communication Industries : Advice, audit, accounting - Banking, insurance, finance - Distribution, selling, wholesale - IT, software engineering, Internet - Marketing, communication, media Employment type : Permanent contract - Freelance - Part-time work Region : Greater Accra - International City : Accra Remote work : Hybrid Experience level : 5 to 10 years - More than 10 years Educational level : Master - Doctorate Spoken language : english > good level Number of Position(s) : 15 Salary expectations : > GH₵ 40,000 Team management : Yes Be cautious!
