Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment as Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems, GCTU. The Ghana Communication Technology University — GCTU (formerly Ghana Technology University College — GTUC), is now a full-fledged public University, established by the Ghana Communication Technology University Act 2020 (Act 1022). GCTU is a technology-oriented institution with the mandate to provide higher education in Information and Communication Technology. The University, which is located in Tesano, Accra-Ghana, offers an enabling environment and culture conducive for teaching, learning, research, and promotes faculty development and academic success. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer in any of the following departments within the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems:

• Department of Mobile and Pervasive Computing
• Department of Information Systems
• Department of Information Technology
• Department of Computer Science
• General Studies — Sociology, Political Science, African Studies, etc. An applicant should state the Rank and Department he/she wishes to apply for as the title of the application letter (e.g. APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF A SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS).

Qualification Required & Experience

Must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant area of specialization.

• Must have been appointed as a Senior Lecturer by a recognized university with comparable conditions for appointment/promotion as those of GCTU. The conditions of GCTU include a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Lecturer and at least six (6) publications in recognized journals; OR
• A Lecturer seeking appointment to the rank of Senior Lecturer will first be appointed as a Lecturer to undergo the University's promotion process.
• Names and addresses of three (3) referees are required.
