FAO is seeking qualified candidates for various Soil Specialist roles to support the implementation of projects in seven beneficiary countries. The positions focus on soil spectroscopy, laboratory analysis, and soil and fertilizer management. Candidates will provide technical expertise and support capacity development in sustainable soil management practices. The roles require collaboration with national institutions and stakeholders to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability. Master’s degree in soil science, agriculture, or related field Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience may be considered Working knowledge of one FAO language 1-4 years of relevant experience for category C; 5-9 years for category B; 10+ years for category A Experience with Member countries on soils Ability to deliver results within deadlines Understanding of FAO policies and UN agendas Experience in soil laboratory functioning and analyses Experience in project formulation and implementation Experience in preparing technical and policy reports
