Job Ad & Profile Description Position : HACCP Coordinator - Accra We are looking for a HACCP Coordinator. Job Summary The HACCP Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the HACCP system to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance at GreenGate Foods. The role supports production operations by identifying food safety risks, enforcing preventive controls, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Key Responsibilities HACCP System Management Develop, implement, and maintain the HACCP plan across all processing lines Conduct hazard analyses and identify critical control points (CCPs) Establish and monitor critical limits, corrective actions, and verification procedures Food Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000) Maintain up-to-date documentation and records related to food safety systems Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits Monitoring & Verification Oversee monitoring of CCPs and ensure proper documentation Conduct routine verification activities including inspections and product testing Investigate deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions Training & Awareness Train staff on HACCP principles, food safety practices, and hygiene standards Promote a strong food safety culture across all departments Develop training materials and conduct refresher sessions Quality Assurance Support Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure consistent product quality Participate in product development and process changes to ensure food safety compliance Incident Management Lead investigations related to food safety incidents, non-conformities, and customer complaints Support product recall procedures when necessary Required profile for job ad : HACCP Coordinator - Accra Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field HACCP certification required; additional certifications in food safety systems are an advantage Minimum 5–7 years of experience in food safety or quality assurance within food processing Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, GMP, and ISO standards Experience in audit preparation and regulatory compliance Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills Key Competencies Food safety systems management Attention to detail and compliance focus Risk assessment and problem-solving Training and facilitation skills Documentation and reporting accuracy Cross-functional collaboration Reporting Line Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager Work Environment Plant-based role with regular presence in production areas to monitor processes, enforce food safety standards, and support operational teams.
