Qualification: B.E./B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) Job Summary: The Project Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities for large-scale petrochemical projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services aligned with project schedules, budget, and quality standards. The role requires strong coordination with engineering, construction, and vendors during EPC project execution. Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Procurement Planning Develop and implement project procurement strategy and plans Align procurement schedules with overall project timelines (EPC phases) Identify long-lead items and initiate procurement early
• 2. Sourcing & Vendor Management Prepare and float RFQs/RFPs for materials and services Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors Maintain and expand vendor database for petrochemical equipment and bulk materials
• 3. Techno-Commercial Evaluation Perform bid analysis and techno-commercial comparisons Coordinate with engineering teams for technical clarifications Lead commercial negotiations (price, delivery, LDs, payment terms)
• 4. Purchase Order & Contract Management Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and contracts Ensure all contractual terms align with project and company policies Manage variations, amendments, and claims
• 5. Expediting & Logistics Coordination Track supplier progress and ensure on-time delivery Coordinate with expeditors and logistics teams Resolve delays, shortages, or quality issues
• 6. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with: Engineering (for specs & drawings)

Construction (site requirements) QA/QC (inspection & compliance) Finance (payments & cost tracking) Monitor procurement budgets and achieve cost optimization Generate reports: Procurement status Cost tracking Vendor performance Strong knowledge of project procurement in petrochemical / oil & gas sector Familiarity with: EPC lifecycle (FEED Execution Commissioning) Global sourcing & import/export regulations Expertise in: Contract negotiation Supplier relationship management Risk mitigation Technical understanding of: Static & rotating equipment Piping, valves, and bulk materials Proficiency in: ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) MS Excel & reporting tools Ensure procurement complies with quality, safety, and environmental standards Source materials meeting required certifications (ISO, ASME, API) Follow ethical procurement practices Reporting To Project Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Head Preferred Experience Petrochemical projects such as: Ethane Cracker Plants Polymer Units (HDPE, LDPE, PP) Experience with: EPC / PMC organizations International vendors and contractors Role: Engineering - Other , Industry Type: Oil & Gas , Department: Production , Manufacturing & Engineering , Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Engineering
