Our client, a Network Owner, is looking for a skilled and experienced Fibre Optic Splicing Technician!

Key Responsibilities Perform fibre splicing, termination, and testing Connect FTTH and FTTB clients to GPON networks Diagnose and repair fibre network faults Read and work from network designs and technical drawings Complete and submit accurate as-built documentation Conduct OTDR and power meter testing Build and test end-to-end enterprise links Work closely with project teams to meet deadlines and project targets

Job Experience and Skills Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience in fibre optic splicing, installation, and testing Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification Fibre optic certifications (FOA, CFOT, or similar) advantageous Proficient with OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers Strong knowledge of fibre optic standards and best practices Experience with underground and aerial fibre installations Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment Valid driver’s license and reliable transport required Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and standby shifts Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Apply now!
