The Internal Control Officer will be responsible for day-to-day vouching of accounting tasks, financial records, financial statements, and complete inventory audit. Assists the Head of Internal Control to ensure that the company’s inventory records are well maintained. Carry out weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly remote and physical audit of all branches and warehouses. Assist the HIC in the conduct continuous physical verifications, conditions, controls and reporting fixed assets. Assist the HIC in the conduct physical verifications, authentication, validations, security custodial, and reporting of all business documents. Carry out any other task that will be assigned by all superior personnel. Key Responsibilities Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and prioritize risks to the organization, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Internal Controls: Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement. Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Process Improvement: Develop and implement recommendations to improve internal controls, risk management, and operational efficiency. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to management and the board/audit committee on internal control matters, risk management, and compliance. Collaboration: Work closely with internal audit, risk management, compliance, and other relevant teams to ensure a cohesive approach to internal controls and risk management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, ACCA) are desirable. 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a related field. Professional certification is a plus. Experience with financial statements and financial analysis. Strong analytical skills. Experience in finance and accounting. Excellent customer service skills. Effective communication skills. Must be able to easily commute to the office. Skills: Strong knowledge of internal controls, inventory analysis, risk management, and governance frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office.
