Junior Quantity Surveyor Technology Black Magic Group East London , South Africa Until 2026/07/26 Service contract Job description Purpose The Junior Quantity Surveyor will prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and verify site progress. He / She Will work closely with procurement to source construction material and compare, verify and assess the viability of contractors, processes and material. Key Responsibilities

• Cost Control & Reporting: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), and monthly cost reports to track actual costs against budgets.

• Measurement & Valuation: Conduct site visits to measure work completed and prepare interim payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.

• Procurement & Tendering: Assist in tender documentation preparation, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and evaluate supplier/subcontractor bids.

• Contract Administration: Support the management of contracts, including managing variations (change orders) and claims.

• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project records, including payment certificates, variation logs, and final account documentation.

• Risk Management: Identify potential commercial risks, such as cost overruns, and assist in implementing mitigation measures.

• A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
