Read more about this company Lagos General Services Manager Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Construction & Site Engineering   , Engineering / Technical   Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate the construction of new branches and the renovation, adaptation, or face-lifting of existing branches and facilities. Manage the allocation of office spaces to staff, ensuring optimal utilization of available space. Oversee general civil and building works, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and professional execution. Ensure proper maintenance of all bank-owned or leased properties within the designated zone. Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across all branches and facilities. Safeguard staff, customers, and bank assets by maintaining a safe and secure physical environment. Manage the upkeep and repair of engineering infrastructure (HVAC, generators, electrical systems, plumbing, etc.) to ensure continuous branch operations. Ensure branch ambience and infrastructure align with the Bank’s customer service and brand standards. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (departments, SBUs) and external parties (regulatory agencies, landlords, service providers). Monitor and ensure compliance with government regulations, environmental standards, and urban development policies. Oversee timely and accurate processing of facility-related tax obligations (e.g., land use charge, tenement rates) to prevent penalties. Provide regular updates and reports to line management on property status, project progress, HSE compliance, and infrastructure conditions. JOB REQUIREMENTS: First degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Estate Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Professional Certifications (an added advantage) Minimum experience: 5years relevant experience is required.
