Recruitment of a Consultant to update the CS4ME guide – What I must know about the Global Fund as a civil society organization active in malaria, For Civil Society Organizations and community actors. Context: Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is an African not-for-profit association based in Cameroon whose main objective is to contribute to improving the health of populations by implementing transformative and sustainable programs that will save lives and improve the health of our communities. Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) coordinates the global platform of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the elimination of malaria (CS4ME). Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is implementing the “CS4ME Global Fund Community Engagement” project to build the long-term capacity of CSOs involved in the fight against malaria. The aim of this project is to strengthen the influence of civil society on decision-making bodies in the fight against malaria. As part of this project, one of the priority objectives is to strengthen the capacity of civil society actors to take better account of the needs of populations vulnerable to malaria. In 2024, Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) developed a guide for CS4ME members and civil society actors entitled “What I must know about the Global Fund as a civil society organization active in malaria.” This guide explains how the Global Fund works and how civil society and communities can get involved throughout the grant cycle. In order to align with the latest information on Grant Cycle 7 (GC7) and preparation for the new GC8, it is essential to update the CS4ME guide. With this in mind, Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is looking for a consultant to update the CS4ME guide “What I must know about the Global Fund as a civil society organization active in malaria.” This tool will be intended for civil society organizations and community actors working in the fight against malaria. Objectives: The main objective is to update the CS4ME guide developed and presented in 2024, taking into account the latest Global Fund guidelines on the current grant cycle (GC7) and the new GC8. This tool mainly targets populations exposed to the risk of malaria or underserved by malaria interventions and the CSOs who represent them. Specifically, it will be to: Propose a methodology for updating the CS4ME guide, for a better understanding of the Global Fund’s mandate, strategy, working model, and grant lifecycle, as well as national processes and mechanisms for strengthening community engagement, particularly with regard to Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs) and other decision-making bodies; Develop the training and orientation tool; Carry out a tool review; Have the updated version of the training and orientation tool validated; Contribute to updating the CS4ME guide “The Global Fund’s New GC7 Funding Cycle: What Civil Society needs to know for better participation.” II. Functions and responsibilities of the consultant: Placed under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Impact Santé Afrique (ISA), and working in collaboration with the Senior Civil Society Engagement Officer, the consultant will have to carry out the following tasks: Participate in working meetings with the ISA team, CS4ME secretariat; Develop the guide for strengthening the capacities of CSOs; Review and validate the CS4ME guide; Draft and submit the comprehensive final consultancy report (mission report).
