Background Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The project provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve HIV epidemic control among at-risk populations, strengthen global health security, expand tuberculosis detection and treatment, improve maternal and child health, address malaria, and promote health systems strengthening. In Cameroon, the EpiC project supports the continuation and expansion of life-saving HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services, with a focus on community-led approaches integrated with facility-based systems to close gaps in HIV case finding (first 95) while sustaining progress toward the second and third 95 of the UNAIDS targets. FAWOI implements interventions across Health, Education, Protection, Economic Empowerment, and Development, with a strong emphasis on women’s and girls’ wellbeing. Positioning — Your cover letter must answer one question: why YOU for THIS specific role right NOW? Avoid generic templates — one sentence on what you specifically bring beats three generic paragraphs.
Professional registration — Clearly state your training institution and its accreditation. For NGO health roles, additional community health or emergency care training is often decisive.
