BackgroundMeeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the U.S.President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS).The project provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve HIVepidemic control among at-risk populations, strengthen global health security, expand tuberculosisdetection and treatment, improve maternal and child health, address malaria, and promote healthsystems strengthening.In Cameroon, the EpiC project supports the continuation and expansion of life-saving HIVprevention, treatment, care, and support services, with a strong focus on community-led approachesintegrated with facility-based systems to close gaps in HIV case finding (first 95) while sustainingprogress toward the second and third 95 of the UNAIDS targets.Family World International (FAWOI) is a civil society organization committed to fosteringautonomous and sustainable communities through capacity building, skills development, andstrategic partnerships. FAWOI operates across five thematic areas: Health, Education, Protection,Economic Empowerment, and Developmentwith a strong emphasis on women’s and girls’ wellbeing.FAWOI will implement the FHI360-led EpiC Cameroon project in the Southwest Region,specifically in the health districts of Muyuka, Kumba North, Mamfe, Tombel, and Bangem.2. Position SummaryFAWOI is seeking qualified and motivated HIV Testing Services (HTS) Providers to delivercomprehensive community-based HIV screening, counselling, testing, linkage, and support services.The HTS Provider will report to the Case Manager and work closely with peer outreach navigatorsand the Monitoring & Evaluation team to ensure timely, ethical, and high-quality service delivery.Each HTS Provider is expected to conduct a minimum of 300 HIV tests per month and identify atleast 10 new HIV-positive clients per month.3. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Community Engagement• Build trust with community leaders, key populations, local CBO staff, and health facilities.• Participate in community dialogues, support groups, and health promotion activities tostimulate demand for HIV services.B. HIV Testing Services• Mobilize community members for HIV testing, including targeted outreach to prioritypopulations.• Provide health education on HIV prevention and treatment, PrEP, PEP, STIs, TB, and noncommunicable diseases.• Participate in community mapping to identify at-risk populations using approved screeningtools.• Mentor other team members on safe, ethical, and standard HIV testing practices.C. Linkage to Treatment and Prevention• Accompany newly diagnosed HIV-positive clients to health facilities for same-day ARTinitiation (handshake model).• Track clients who miss appointments or decline linkage and provide tailored follow-upsupport.D. Adherence and Retention Support• Provide ongoing peer counselling for treatment adherence and psychosocial support.• Conduct community follow-ups through home visits, phone calls, SMS reminders, and checkins.• Support viral load monitoring by reminding clients of appointments and escorting them wherepossible.E. Documentation and Reporting• Complete daily activity and data collection tools
