Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Volvo Mechanic based in the West Coast, Western Cape, South Africa. The Volvo Mechanic will be responsible for performing regular maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, including refrigeration units, tautliners, and flatbeds. Tasks will include identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining detailed service records. Routine inspections, diagnostics, and necessary adjustments are essential components of this role.

Expérience

Experience in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair practices for vehicles and heavy equipment. Advanced knowledge of servicing, repairing, and managing Heavy Equipment and truck machinery. Proficient in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues effectively. Strong attention to detail and capability to ensure operational efficiency and fleet safety. Proven ability to work on-site in a hands-on and team-oriented environment. Prior experience working with Volvo or similar heavy-duty trucks is preferred. Relevant certifications or technical training in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle mechanics. Free.
