Expérience

Our client, a leading international operator delivering mining, industrial and infrastructure projects across Africa, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager – Africa to join their team. This is a senior role responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle across complex, multi-country projects. The position requires a strong commercial professional with proven expertise in EPC/EPCM contracts, FIDIC frameworks, claims management, and contractual risk mitigation. Responsibilities: Manage the full contractual lifecycle of mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Africa. Draft, negotiate, and administer major contracts (EPC, EPCM, O&M, services, etc.) Identify, analyse, and manage contractual, commercial, and financial risks. Develop, implement, and monitor claims, variations, and dispute strategies.

Ensure contractual compliance with local and international legal requirements. Support project teams with schedule, cost, payment, and penalty management. Lead contractual relationships with partners, suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities. Prepare and deliver contractual reports for senior management. Contribute to the development and upskilling of local teams in contract management best practices. Qualification and Skill: Minimum Master’s Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy, Business Law, Project Management Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract management on large-scale projects Strong experience in complex, multi-country project environments Proven expertise in FIDIC, PMBOK, and EPC / EPCM / PPP / PPA / BOOT contracts

Advanced skills in negotiation, risk management, claims, and dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration, litigation). Fluent in both French and English (oral and written) is mandatory.
