Read more about this company Purchasing Officer Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND Experience Location Lagos City Ikeja Job Field Procurement / Store-keeping / Supply Chain   Key Responsibilities Source and procure raw materials, production consumables, machinery parts, and other operational supplies. Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with company procedures. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store and production departments to prevent stock shortages. Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery efficiency, and pricing. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation. Ensure purchased materials meet company quality specifications and standards. Coordinate with the accounts department regarding invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliation. Conduct market surveys to identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing opportunities. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements. Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes. Resolve issues relating to defective materials, delayed deliveries, or supplier disputes.
