To support our next phase of growth, we are recruiting an Accountant/Financial Analyst to strengthen our finance function and provide reliable reporting and data-driven decision support.

Role Summary
The Accountant/Financial Analyst will ensure complete and accurate capture of revenue and expenditure, strong cash controls, weekly and monthly performance reporting, and high-quality financial analysis (forecasting, simulations, investment cases, cost optimization, and business planning).

Key Responsibilities
· Track and document all revenue (cash-in) and expenditures (cash-out) across all units and payment channels (cash, POS, Mobile Money, bank transfers, insurance/corporate billing).
· Run daily/weekly reconciliations (cashier close, Mobile Money/POS settlements, banking) and resolve variances within agreed timelines.
· Develop a detailed weekly financial report pack for management (revenue by unit/service line, payment mix, trends, variances, actions) and produce a 2–4 week cash forecast.
· Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on pending claims/outstanding balances; maintain Accounts Payable (AP) and propose prioritized payment plans.
· Prepare budgets and rolling forecasts; conduct variance analysis and propose corrective actions to improve cash flow and efficiency.
· Run financial simulations and prepare concise written briefs/proposals on pricing, staffing, cost savings, investments, and growth opportunities.
· Develop and implement SOPs/internal controls for billing, collections, procurement, approvals, reimbursements, and documentation; train staff and monitor compliance.
· Oversee inventory monitoring and valuation (pharmacy, lab reagents, consumables, physical assets), including cycle counts and quarterly stock counts; track expiries, wastage, and variances.
· Track and follow up on tax and statutory obligations (including CNPS and payroll-related deductions), maintaining complete, audit-ready documentation and a compliance calendar.
· Support business planning and due diligence for major procurements, partnerships, and negotiations (vendor comparisons, total cost of ownership, ROI cases).

Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
· At least 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience (healthcare experience is an advantage).
· Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards) and ability to build clean, auditable financial models.
· Comfort with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Odoo, QuickBooks, Wave, or equivalent).
· Working knowledge of payroll, statutory deductions, and compliance processes (including CNPS).
· High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, and strong written communication.

Preferred
· Experience setting up SOPs/internal controls and digitizing finance workflows in a growing organization.
· Experience managing inventory valuation and stock control
