Job Description

ABOUT THE COMPANY Polaris Bank Limited is a Tier II Nigerian, private limited liability company, wholly-owned by Strategic Capital Investment Limited (SCIL) following the successful divestment of the FGN/CBN in October 2022 JOB SUMMARY RequirementsProficiency in backend programming languages such as:

  • Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or C# [thejobexplorer.com]
  • Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL & NoSQL) [jobdayta.com]
  • Experience with API development and integration [jobdayta.com]
  • Understanding of server architecture and web application frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with testing, debugging, and deployment processes RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain server-side logic and application components
  • Design, implement, and manage databases and data storage systems
  • Build and maintain APIs (RESTful / GraphQL) for system integration.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues
  • Implement security and data protection measures
  • Optimize applications for speed and efficiency
  • Conduct testing to ensure system functionality before and after deployment
  • Provide technical documentation and updates to stakeholders REQUIRED SKILLS IT architecture, Collaboration, Software architecture, Software development (backend) REQUIRED EDUCATION Diploma, Associate's degree
