Summary

Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam is seeking a passionate, people-focused, and results-driven Director of Operations to lead the hotel’s day-to-day operations and bring the Hyatt purpose of care to life through exceptional guest and colleague experiences.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Committee, the Director of Operations will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services, ensuring seamless operations, elevated service standards, and memorable experiences that reflect the Hyatt Regency brand promise. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and operational excellence while driving commercial performance and colleague engagement.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, preferably within luxury or upscale international hospitality brands.

Proven ability to lead and inspire multi-functional teams while fostering a culture aligned with Hyatt’s values of empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing.

Strong operational and financial acumen with experience driving guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and quality standards.

Demonstrated success in delivering exceptional guest experiences through service excellence and attention to detail.

An engaging and approachable leadership style with excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Passion for developing talent, empowering colleagues, and creating an environment where people can thrive.
