THE POSITION:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Biology Teacher with a minimum of five years’ experience in planning and delivering the A-Level and IGCSE Biology curriculum to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of biological concepts, nurture their curiosity about the natural world, and strengthen their analytical and critical thinking skills through scientific inquiry and experimentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver engaging and well-structured Biology lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum standards.
Promote a stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, scientific inquiry, and collaboration.
Guide students in developing strong theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory Skills
Prepare learners effectively for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Biology examinations
through targeted instruction and assessment.
Integrate experimental work, field studies, and real-world applications to deepen students’ understanding of biological concepts.
Encourage students to develop independent research projects and maintain academic portfolios showcasing their progress.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote interdisciplinary learning Opportunities.
Mentor and support students in science competitions, fairs and enrichment programs.
Maintain and manage laboratory resources, equipment and safety protocols responsibly.
Engage parents and guardians in students’ academic progress through regular communication
Participate actively in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement culture.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have a minimum of five years’ teaching experience in delivering Cambridge.
IGCSE and A-Level Biology. Master’s degree qualification in Biology preferred
Coaching certification in Cambridge curriculum desirable.
At least 5 years teaching experience of the Cambridge IGCSE and A-level and a strong track record of students’ successes.
Excellent subject knowledge and ability to inspire students’ interest in Biology.
Experience with educational technology and online teaching platforms is a plus.
