In- House Legal Cousel

Job Field Legal & Regulatory  

As Jeroid's in-house Counsel, you are expected to provide legal advice, support, and guidance to the company, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Legal Advisory:

Provide legal expertise and guidance on a wide range of legal matters to ensure the company's operations are in accordance with legal rules and guidelines, recommending appropriate courses of action.

Contracts & Agreements:

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, letters, and other official correspondence, ensuring clarity and accuracy in legal language, and that terms align with the company's interests and legal requirements.

Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that the company complies with all applicable legal rules and guidelines, while identifying potential legal risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Dispute Resolution:

Manage legal disputes and conflicts, including providing legal opinions, participating in negotiations, and liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.

Risk Assessment:

Identify legal risks in business operations and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Policy Development:

Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures with legal implications.

Due Diligence:

Conduct legal due diligence for transactions, partnerships, and acquisitions.

Training & Education:

Provide legal training and awareness sessions to staff on relevant legal matters.

Intellectual Property:

Protect the company's intellectual property rights and manage trademark and copyright matters.

Data Privacy:

Support data privacy efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

Confidentiality & Ethics:

Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all legal matters.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Law; additional relevant certifications are advantageous

Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

2–4 years of proven experience as legal counsel or in a similar legal role

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

Prior experience working in a law firm is required or highly preferred
