Company Description Kobo Resources is a gold exploration company dedicated to advancing its 100%-owned Kossou Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire, located near Yamoussoukro. Situated in one of West Africa’s most promising gold districts, the project is adjacent to a major gold mine and features a 9+ km strike length of highly prospective gold geochemical anomalies. The company has completed extensive drilling, trenching, and sampling programs to define a large orogenic gold system. Role Description This is a contract-based, FIFO, remote role for a Senior Exploration Geologist at Kobo Resources Inc. The position demands fluency in French and English.  The Senior Exploration Geologist will be responsible for leading and overseeing exploration programs at various worksites mapping, core logging, data interpretation and regional exploration.  Key tasks will include budgeting, planning and supervising drilling and exploration programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and working with existing personnel and consultants to develop geological and resource models.  Mentoring our local geological workforce is a key component. Additionally, the Senior Exploration Geologist will be tasked with maintaining company databases, generating exploration reports, and contributing to the strategic development of exploration initiatives. A working knowledge of Geosoft, LeapFrog or other computer-based programs is essential. The geologist will analyze geochemical and geological data, contribute to target generation, and provide support for planning and executing exploration programs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the preparation of technical reports summarizing findings are critical aspects of the role.  The Senior Exploration Geologist will also communicate with local authorities and various stakeholders within project work areas. Qualifications Fluency in English and French is essential Proficiency in economic geology, geological mapping and an understanding of structural geology.  Deep knowledge of orogenic gold deposits in tropical settings is critical Experience in diamond drill logging, oriented core procedures and an attention to detail in documenting structural, alteration and host rock features. Advanced expertise in drilling operations, including supervising drilling campaigns and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Strong knowledge of geochemistry and applying geochemical methods for mineral exploration. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences; advanced degree is an asset. Proven ability to work independently in remote field locations with minimal supervision. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in West Africa or similar orogenic gold terrains is advantageous. Proficiency in geological software and GIS applications is preferred.
