Your Impact To support the identification, evaluation, and control of workplace health hazards, ensuring compliance with occupational health standards and promoting a safe and healthy work environment. As Part Of Our Team, You Will Conduct workplace assessments to identify chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards. Monitor air quality, noise, vibration, radiation and other occupational exposure parameters using recognized sampling methods. Develop and implement programs to control occupational exposures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Monitor site performance to ensure adherence to compliance with health, safety and hygiene legislation, standards and site procedures. Provide technical guidance on the selection, fit, use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE). Plan and deliver training on industrial hygiene and workplace health risks for employees and contractors. Support incident investigations involving occupational health and hygiene concerns. Maintain accurate records of monitoring and assessments, ensuring data meets statutory and corporate requirements. Analyse and interpret occupational hygiene data using statistical methods to identify trends, assess exposure variability, and support risk-based decision making. Fulfil statutory responsibilities as assigned under relevant occupational health and mining legislation, including acting as a competent person for industrial hygiene obligations where required. Your Work Environment The location for this position is our Ahafo North mine site. Your Training, Skills And Experience Checklist Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations): Bachelor’s or Professional degree in Science, Environmental Health, Engineering, Safety, or a related field. Advanced Certificate in Occupational Hygiene is preferable. Experience Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ work experience as an Industrial Hygienist in a Mining and/or Heavy industry environment. Advanced capability in Occupational Health and Hygiene assessment in a mine. Advanced capability in data and statistical analysis. Demonstrated experience implementing industrial hygiene systems, monitoring programs, and best fit practices to ensure regulatory compliance. Proven experience using data analysis to monitor, predict, and improve performance. Effective communication and influencing skills across multidisciplinary stakeholders. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in mine and/or surface ventilation. Advanced proficiency in Occupational Health and Hygiene assessment. Advanced proficiency in data and statistical analysis.
