This role is critical in ensuring accurate handling of incoming materials and finished goods, optimizing space and stock flow, and upholding safety and operational excellence across the warehouse and storage yard.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supervising warehouse staff, overseeing stock movement, and managing real-time inventory tracking systems. Familiarity with high-throughput production environments, especially those dealing with bulky or high-volume goods, will be highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities: Offloading & Receiving Oversight Coordinate the safe and efficient offloading of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other inbound goods. Verify quantities and quality of incoming items against delivery documents and immediately report discrepancies or damages. Ensure all materials are labeled correctly and moved promptly to designated storage areas. Monitor staff handling of materials and enforce safe material handling protocols. Stock Management & Control Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records for all stock movements — incoming, in-process, and dispatch-ready. Ensure proper stacking, segregation, and rotation of materials based on batch or expiry (if applicable). Conduct regular cycle counts and support full physical stocktakes; reconcile variances and investigate anomalies. Track usage trends and bring to notice low-stock or overstocked items for planning purposes. Warehouse Organization & Safety Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free warehouse and offloading zone. Ensure stock placement follows efficient layout logic and supports quick retrieval and restocking. Enforce all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation. Report and follow up on any safety hazards, equipment issues, or site incidents. Team Coordination & Supervision Supervise warehouse assistants, offloading crew, and forklift operators during daily operations. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure timelines and accuracy are met. Train team members on inventory handling procedures, safety measures, and documentation practices. Ensure timekeeping, task completion, and team discipline standards are upheld. Reporting & Process Improvement Generate reports on stock levels, inbound and outbound movements, and offloading activity. Support the development of SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse. Collaborate with production, procurement, and dispatch teams to align material availability with operational needs. Required profile for job ad : Warehouse and Stock Supervisor - Spintex Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of a Diploma or HND in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, or a related technical field. At least 3–5 years of supervisory experience in warehouse or stock control, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with stock handling of large, high-volume products or raw materials is an advantage. Working knowledge of warehouse software systems, barcoding, or ERP inventory modules. Familiarity with offloading, stacking, and storage of bulky or high-frequency goods (manual or with equipment). Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in stock tracking. Ability to lead small teams and manage workloads efficiently. Solid communication and reporting skills. Understanding of occupational safety standards related to warehouse operations. Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Working Conditions: Location: Primarily in a warehouse, offloading yard, or outdoor storage areas. Hours: Full-time with flexibility for early starts, late finishes, or shift work as required.
