Your Impact Oversee process operations to achieve production targets and ensure safety and efficiency. As Part Of Our Team You Will Coordinate production and shipment schedules with Finance and Security to meet refinery targets. Ensure safe, efficient operation of all Gold Room, gold recovery, CIL, and Elution equipment. Plan and allocate personnel, equipment, and consumables for smooth Gold Room operations. Enforce strict security procedures to minimize theft risks. Maintain accurate metallurgical accounting records and balanced production databases. Liaise with external parties to ensure timely transport of gold product. Prepare shift reports, work requests, and requisitions for consumables and supplies. Report production variances, hazards, restrictions, and corrective actions accurately. Conduct frequent inspections of operating areas, equipment, and housekeeping standards. Support troubleshooting, coordinate with maintenance, and promptly notify management of production issues. Execute and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Oversee the administration of specific health monitoring of Gold Room personnel, as required. Your Training, Skills And Experience Checklist Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations): Bachelors’ Degree in Extractive Metallurgy or Chemistry or equivalent. Minerals Commission (MINCOM)Process Officer’s Certificate of Competency. Additional Knowledge Advanced knowledge of operational and technical knowledge. Advanced knowledge of mineral processing principles and industry standards. Advanced knowledge of processing plant equipment. Experience Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in metalliferous mining, with a minimum of 5 years in gold room operations / processing. Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ gold room supervisory experience supervising large and diverse teams (inclusive within the 8 – 10 years). Technical Skills Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and information‑monitoring skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. High computer proficiency, including MS Office and SAP. Strong planning, organizing, prioritizing, and time‑management abilities. Solid leadership, decision‑making, coaching, and mentoring capability. Competence in project management, conflict management, and change management. Working Conditions The location for this position is at our Ahafo South mine site.
