Project Coordinator - Senegal COOPERMONDO is recruiting a Project Coordinator – International Cooperation to join its operations in Senegal . The position will last 12 months. Contract type: Other. Application deadline : May 9, 2026.

TERMS OF REFERENCE (TdR) Position: Project Coordinator – International Cooperation Project: A.3 – Training, creation of cooperatives and exchange of practices among women cooperators in Senegal

Place of work: Senegal (based in Thies, with regular missions in the regions of intervention)

Contract duration: 12 months (renewable)

Type: collaboration contract

Context: Coopermondo, an NGO within the Confcooperative network, promotes the social and solidarity economy as a lever for inclusive and sustainable development. As part of its ongoing activities in Senegal, Coopermondo is implementing Outcome A.3, aimed at strengthening women's entrepreneurial and cooperative capacities in four regions of the country, with a gender-sensitive approach inspired by the principles of cooperation. Planned activities include:

A.3.1 – Development and implementation of a training program in business management and administration with a gender approach and in accordance with the principles of the social and solidarity economy. A.3.2 – Formalization and support for the creation of 8 cooperatives (2 per region). A.3.3 – Exchange of practices and knowledge between Italian and Senegalese cooperatives, focusing on women's rights in the workplace. Position Objective: The Project Coordinator will support the management and implementation of the activities of outcome A.3, ensuring the proper execution of the training program, the process of establishing and supporting women's cooperatives, and the organization of exchanges between Italian and Senegalese women cooperators. Main Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local partners to develop and adapt training modules in business management and administration. Organize and monitor training activities in the four target regions, with a focus on gender and the social economy. Facilitate the formalization, technical, and administrative support processes of women's cooperatives. Support the logistical and content organization of international exchanges between Italian and Senegalese cooperatives (visits, workshops, seminars). Ensure monitoring of field activities and contribute to the preparation of periodic reports. Work closely with the local team, authorities and civil society partners. Promote women's active participation in decision-making processes and enhance local knowledge. Required Training Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in socioeconomics, international cooperation, political science, gender studies, or similar. Experience

Previous experience (at least 2 years) in cooperation projects, international volunteering, civil service, or internships in similar contexts. Preferred experience in:Non-formal training or education for adults. I work with women's groups or on gender issues. Support for social economy groups or businesses. Skills

Good knowledge of cooperative dynamics and/or social entrepreneurship. Ability to relate to local partners, beneficiaries, and institutions. Excellent organizational skills and operational flexibility. Good drafting skills (in Italian and French) for short reports, activity sheets, and documentation. Languages

Fluent French (minimum B2) Native Italian speaker or equivalent Knowledge of local languages (Wolof, Serer, Mandinka, etc.) is appreciated. Personal skills

Intercultural sensitivity, empathy, active listening skills. Proactivity, adaptability, ability to work independently and in a team. Interest in gender issues, female empowerment, and peer-to-peer cooperation. Contractual conditions

International collaboration contract. Initial duration 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Monthly allowance based on experience and Coopermondo policy. Round-trip flight coverage, health and accident insurance.
