Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) – For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.

Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country, with the Cambodians, and thus supports sustainable development.

Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.

PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 5,500 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program already have successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position.

PSE employs more than 600 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarter in France.  300 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known, on fundraising donations and sponsorships.

In 2000, PSE was awarded the French Human Rights Prize by the French Republic.

Job purpose:

Head of Content plays a crucial role in defining messaging, ensuring consistency and alignment with PSE’s main goals. S/he leverages his/her expertise in content marketing to create compelling content that resonates with our audience globally and supports our PSE fundraising objectives.

Main Responsibilities :

Content Strategy

Implements a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our Communication strategy and with PSE values.

Enables structured content creation capabilities through the implementation processes for sourcing information, analyzing, and creating content.

Team Leadership

Leads and mentors the capacity of social media and creative team members (including staff and volunteers).

Builds a culture of creativity and innovation within the content team.

Develop and execute a global content calendar

Coordinates with content stakeholders to define content objectives and ensure alignment with PSE’s Communication strategy and values.

Creates content that drives engagement, builds brand awareness, and ultimately contributes to develop PSE’s awareness in France, in Cambodia and globally.

Provides feedback and guidance to ensure content meets brand standards and resonates with the target audience (in France and in Cambodia mainly).

Manage content distribution

Oversees the publication of content on website, social media, and for all our printed materials (flyers, banners, posters).

Ensures timely delivery of all content pieces, including texts, videos, designs.

Monitors channel performance and optimize content strategies accordingly.

Report to senior management

Prepares and presents performance reports for Social Media, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams (Project Team, Schools, Paris Office, HR) to align content efforts with PSE’s main goals.

Other duties

Hosts PSE Campus visits for French VIPs, Major donors, Press visits

Oversees campus visits planification and execution operated by the Social Media Manager (volunteer)

Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Communications

Expériences / Formation

Education 

Bachelor’s Degree level (Communication, Public Relation, Business School…)

Experience    

At least 8 years of experience in editorial roles.

2 years of experience in team management

Skills 

English and French (mandatory, speaking, writing), Khmer is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Creativity: Ability to develop new and unique ideas

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines

Advocacy: Ability to advocate for the NGO’s mission and engage with the public through public speaking

Salaire

Type of Contract : Limited duration with a minimum period of one year, 2 to 3 years being preferable.  

Compensation : to be discussed

Localization : Phnom Penh, Cambodia
