You will be responsible for the full accounting function, from transactional processing to month-end close, and will work closely with senior management to provide insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all audit requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and income tax submissions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (BCom or equivalent).
• Professional certification such as CA(SA), CIMA, or ACCA is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
