Job Description

The Market Development Officer will focus on market development across various value chains in the Congo Basin and West Africa, promoting FSC's mission. This role involves driving Chain-of-Custody certification, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and increasing brand awareness in both B2B and B2C segments. The officer will also conduct market analysis, develop marketing materials, and engage with governments and the private sector to stimulate demand for FSC certification. The position requires strong collaboration skills and a solution-oriented attitude. University degree in marketing, communications, or business At least 4 years of marketing or sales experience Understanding of private sector buying patterns Knowledge of sustainability certification systems Excellent command of English; proficiency in French is a plus Good time management skills Strong collaboration and networking skills Experience with MS Office and social media Basic knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce
