Job description We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high-availability Linux-based systems supporting critical production environments. The role focuses on delivering secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers (SUSE, RHEL, Ubuntu)

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues

Apply system updates, patches, and security fixes

Manage and support high availability environments (e.g. Veritas Infoscale)

Deploy and operate workloads on AWS and Azure

Maintain system and operational documentation

Ensure compliance with security standards and internal policies

Manage Incident, Problem, and Change processes (ITSM)

Track and update tasks and user stories (e.g. Jira)

Support system stability and operational standards

Participate in operational meetings and team coordination

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Participate in standby and weekend support when required

Requirements Essential Skills Strong experience with Unix/Linux (especially SUSE)

Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)

Experience with High Availability systems (e.g. Veritas Infoscale)

Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Grafana)

Understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH)

Basic knowledge of Oracle and SAP environments

Advantageous Skills

Virtualization (VMware)

Private cloud technologies

Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman)

Monitoring & analytics tools (Dynatrace, Splunk)

Windows Server knowledge

Agile methodologies

ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)

ServiceNow experience

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT operations

Minimum 5 years’ experience in configuration management & automation

Strong scripting and automation experience (Bash, PowerShell)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Version control experience (GitHub)

Nice to have:

Linux certifications (e.g. RHCSA)

Ansible / RHCE certifications

Experience with Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Red Hat Satellite
