JOB PURPOSE

To supervise and coordinate all electrical, instrumentation, maintenance activities at the Tema Oil Terminal (TOT) – Thermal Plant, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of storage tanks, transfer systems, loading racks and related equipment. The role maintains regulatory compliance, monitors downtime, and updates petroleum handling standards.

**QUALIFICATION &

EXPERIENCE

**

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or related discipline). Minimum of 6 years relevant industrial experience. Solid knowledge of electrical systems, automation, PLCs, and instrumentation. Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills. Oil & gas or bulk petroleum storage experience is a strong advantage.

KEY COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Ensuring technical service operation, reviewing and approving external contractors. Capable of handling technical and physical maintenance tasks. Knowledge of safety systems & emergency procedures. Able to assign resources, monitor and call attention to maintenance requirements with formal supervision.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure Equipment Reliability:     - Supervise preventive & corrective maintenance of electrical, instrumentation & control systems.     - Monitor equipment performance and lifespan.

Maintenance Management:     - Develop strategies to reduce equipment downtime.     - Restore operations quickly after failures.

Energy Management:     - Monitor consumption to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Electrical System Maintenance:     - Oversee maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical circuits, motors & power distribution; ensure compliance with safety standards.

Instrumentation & Control:     - Guide calibration, installation, and upkeep of PLC, flow meters, sensors and record evaluation data.

Safety & Compliance:     - Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular audits, and ensure regulatory adherence.

Emergency Preparedness:     - Maintain response plans for failures and train the team.

Team Supervision:     - Lead and train technicians, assign work, and evaluate team performance.

Reporting:     - Produce maintenance reports and KPI tracking for monthly reviews.

Inventory Management:     - Manage spares inventory and ensure availability of critical items.
