The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, while supporting the hospital’s growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Administration Oversee the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, tax returns, etc.) Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and timely reporting to the Board Develop and implement robust accounting systems and financial models Manage hospital payments, investments, and capital-raising initiatives Review and improve accounting procedures and internal controls Analyse economic trends and forecast financial growth opportunities Identify opportunities for business expansion and improved financial performance Budgeting & Reporting Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets Monitor expenditures, revenues, and budget variances Generate detailed financial reports and analysis for management and stakeholders Provide strategic recommendations for cost reduction and revenue growth Ensure timely submission of monthly and periodic financial reports People Management Lead and supervise finance, billing, and accounting teams Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in workflows Develop and implement staff training and performance improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (BSc/BBA) Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience , including managerial/supervisory roles Full membership of a recognized professional accounting body ( ICAN, ACA ) Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting, and compliance Experience in the healthcare sector is an added advantage Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent planning and organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (EMR knowledge is a plus) Strong interpersonal and communication skills High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism Ability to negotiate, influence, and make strategic decisions Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely submission of financial reports Accuracy of financial statements Reduction in operating costs and improved margins Efficiency in receivables and payables management Improved billing and revenue cycle performance Check how your CV aligns with this job Method of Application Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to: Jobs@havanaspecialisthospital.com Build your CV for free.
