Open Cast Mining (Iron Ore)

Minimum Requirements

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • N4 or equivalent Engineering qualification
  • Qualified Artisan
  • 5+ years’ supervisory/management experience
  • Open cast mining experience (Iron Ore essential)

Knowledge & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of heavy machinery
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • RCFA and problem-solving experience
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Strong English communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with mine safety standards and investigate incidents
  • Manage maintenance according to company policy and OEM standards
  • Oversee RCFA actions and improve equipment reliability
  • Supervise workforce performance, discipline, and training
  • Conduct equipment inspections and drive uptime improvements
