Verified Ad Apply Now Vehicle Tracking Technician Persona Staff Monday, 20 April 2026 1 Engineering - Engineering Management Western Cape FULL TIME Job Specification Company Reference Number CPT006502/YG Job Summary Key Responsibilities: Install and configure vehicle tracking and fleet management systems Ensure all installations meet company quality and technical standards Test and verify all installations before closing job cards Conduct on-site fault finding, repairs, and technical adjustments Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control Liaise professionally with clients on-site and provide support where required Complete and manage job cards and installation documentation accurately Communicate with the coordination team on job progress and challenges Adapt installations based on vehicle types and operational requirements Requirements: Matric or relevant technical qualification Qualification in Automotive Electronics or Motor Mechanics (advantageous) Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle tracking / telematics installations Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and automotive electronics Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and wiring schematics Valid driver’s license Medically fit and willing to travel, including mining environments Willing to work after hours and weekends when required No criminal record and a stable work track record Computer literate This role is suited to a hands-on technician who is comfortable working independently in the field and can deliver consistent, high-quality installations across various vehicle and asset types.
