Job Summary

Long Hole Rig Operators Locations: Zimbabwe, Rustenburg & Carletonville, Zimbabwe, Northwest, Gauteng Company: Hydro Power Systems (HPS)

The Opportunity Hydro Power Systems is seeking two experienced Long Hole Rig Operators to support operations across Zimbabwe, Rustenburg, and Carltonville. This role is suited to skilled underground professionals with a strong focus on precision drilling, safety compliance, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate long hole drilling rigs safely and efficiently

  • Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks

  • Ensure drilling accuracy according to mine plans and specifications

  • Identify and report mechanical or operational faults

  • Adhere strictly to mine health and safety standards

  • Maintain productivity targets and quality drilling output

  • Complete operational logs and reports as require

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Long Hole Rig Operator in an underground mining environment

  • Strong understanding of long hole drilling methods and best practices

  • Sound knowledge of underground safety regulations and procedures

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets

  • Medically fit for underground work

  • Valid certificates, permits, or competency records (advantageous)
