Job Description

JOB TITLE

Assistant M&E and Field Support Officer 

REPORTING TO

M&E Officer, Project Coordinator 

KEY  RELATIONSHIPS

Project team

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and data collection 

PURPOSE

Support the technical aspects of the project, including tree planting, maintenance, and monitoring activities.

LOCATION

Northern region in Ghana 

TYPE OF CONTRACT

One year renewable with a probation of 03 months, subject to performance and funding availability.

CLOSING DATE

 30th April 2026

Overall aim

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will support the effective implementation of the Hviron Hive project by leading data collection, analysis, and reporting processes. The role will ensure that project activities are tracked against planned targets, and that high-quality, timely data is generated to inform decision-making and demonstrate impact.

Key Roles/ Tasks

Implement a participatory monitoring-evaluation system and train technical support staff in monitoring and experience sharing

Organise joint monitoring field missions and keep up to date with activity planning according to the Annual Work Plans

Support in Projects Coordination and management

Carry out necessary research studies to support Tree Aid programme improvement and advocacy needs

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications & Experience

Master degree in Rural Development, Rural sociology, Agriculture and forestry or related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.

At least 5 years’ experience of M&E in development projects

Experience designing tools and strategies for data collection, data processing, analysis, performance monitoring and the production of impact reports/periodic activity reports
