This role ensures high performance, security, scalability, and user experience across all digital platforms, while translating business and communication needs into robust technical solutions. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with design, content, and project teamsKey Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive, secure, and high-performance websites and web applications Define and implement scalable web architecture and development best practices Optimize website speed, performance, and accessibility (SEO, Core Web Vitals, WCAG standards) Implement security best practices, including data protection and vulnerability mitigation Monitor website uptime, performance, and technical health Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX designs accurately Work closely with content, communications, and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions Maintain and update CMS-based websites (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or equivalent) Integrate third-party APIs, services, and tools Ensure version control and deployment best practices (Git, CI/CD)Required Qualifications Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) Experience with analytics, monitoring, and performance tool Strong hands-on experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, architecture, and security). Experience working with MySQL databases.Experience Required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar web development role. Experience working in an NGO, nonprofit, or mission-driven organization Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
